4 stars for the beautiful architecture. True to it's name, it is indeed the largest mosque in Cotabato. Regardless of your religion, it is a must-visit place if you are in Cotabato. It is humbly suggested that they improve the drainage system of the women's comfort room to avoid clogging of waters on the floor. There is a need to register at the guard house before you enter. Hijabs may be rented from the stores in front of the mosque. The rental fee is Php100-200 depending on the store or the design of the hijabs. Parking is available on the side of the mosque and there is a restaurant in front in case you get hungry. No public transportation going here so better rent a car.

If you want to see majestic architecture, the Grand mosque is certainly one to visit. At the time of writing (April 2023) the place is undergoing work still. You can see some of that in the photos. Getting here is a bit complicated, because there are no direct buses or vans that stop here. If using public transport, you'll need to get at the nearby town (Bubong) and get a tricycle/payong to get you here. Getting back will basically be the same, but there may be a bit more waiting involved since there often aren't enough tricycles near the mosque. The mosque itself is quite impressive. It is definitely worth visiting and experiencing first hand. What makes it even more worth a visit and the hassle, because frankly, it is a bit of a hassle to get here using public transport - habal or car is the easiest option. Anyways, what makes this place even more appealing is the scenery. While getting there, you'll get to see some breathtaking scenery. All in all, a great place to visit đź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ť

The Grand Mosque is a must-visit religious and cultural site in Cotabato City! Seeing the mosque in person is a unique immersive experience. The caretaker is accommodating, and he even talks about his ten-year stay in the mosque as the sole caretaker. You can roam around the mosque. I highly recommend the rear part as well. The caretaker said that they’re going to renovate the mosque (new plaster and paint job) which will costs millions of pesos. Reminders: It goes without saying that you should be respectful of their religion and culture. For women, wear hijabs or other similar covers. Fortunately, you can rent some from a nearby store. Also, you can’t park your car inside the mosque’s premises unless you’re related to the owner.

The place was fitting of its name. A couple of fellow alumni from the University showed us the site and you can tell they were proud of it. Since it's a religious site, all visitors were asked to be respectful. Everyone had to wear proper clothing and women also had to wear the hijab.

If you are coming from north or south, between cotabato and general santos, would recommend to have a stop and visit the pink mosque which is just along the way. just be mindful of the local culture and ask for permission first. on our case, this is something we don't see often.
